Is that a 5 or an S? On a first look at this lettering, either is possible, because Bimota's squared model typeface draws its 5 with a flat top bar and a bowl that is almost an S. It is DB5, one of the Ducati-engined models, the DB standing for Ducati Bimota.

The letters are shared with the other DB decals in the range. The D is long and flat with a chamfered corner, the B has two narrow slots as counters, and the 5 closes the word with a wide bar at the top and a flat sweep at the bottom. There are no stripes or outlines, so the decal is a single line of lettering.

That plain shape suits side fairings, the tank flank, the tail unit or a seat cowl, and it also makes a neat label for a toolbox or a garage wall. A single flat colour is easy to match to the bike.
