The Buell S3 Thunderbolt was the sport-touring model of the late 1990s, a half-faired machine with a Sportster-based 1,203cc V-twin, a rubber-mounted engine and a fairing that kept the wind off a rider on longer trips. This badge matches it: THUNDERBOLT in tall capitals inside an oval, with two lightning bolts cutting across the lettering.

The S3 is set apart in its own small box, which makes it easy to read at a glance and keeps the model code distinct from the name. The oval has a thick outer ring, and the bolts break the ring at the sides, giving the badge a little movement.
