The caduceus is the herald's staff of the Greek god Hermes: a short rod with wings at the top and two serpents winding round it in a double helix. This version is drawn in bold outline, with a round finial above the wings, layered feathers on each side and the snakes meeting head to head just under the ball.
It is often mixed up with the Rod of Asclepius, which has one snake and no wings and is the usual sign of medicine. The caduceus belongs to messengers, travellers and trade, though it turns up on medical insignia and pharmacy signs all the same. Whichever meaning is intended, the sticker is a clear, symmetrical mark.
Because the lines are cut rather than printed, the white spaces in the drawing are open vinyl and your surface shows through. It looks sharp on a car window, a laptop, a toolbox or a locker door. Two copies come in the pack, drawn side by side, so a pair can go on matching spots.
