Albania's flag pairs a red field with the black double-headed eagle descended from Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg's 15th-century banner, adopted in its current form on independence in 1912. This range carries the flag across several pennant shapes rather than one fixed cut, and this version hangs from a gold arrow-tipped rod with the fabric coming to a shield point at the bottom — distinct from the swallowtail, zigzag-hem and rounded versions carried elsewhere in the range.
The Albanian language sits in its own separate branch of the Indo-European family, unrelated to any neighbouring tongue, one of several details that make the country's national symbols read as distinctly its own.
Fits perfectly on cars, laptops, water bottles and travel gear.
