This design shows a closed fist gripping a flagpole vertically, the Algerian flag hanging down the pole rather than caught mid-wave — a firmer, more determined pose than our other hand-held flag listing. The flag itself pairs green and white fields with a red crescent and star, adopted on independence from France in 1962.
Fits perfectly on cars, laptops, water bottles and travel gear.
Algeria borders Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Libya and Tunisia, giving it more land borders than almost any other African country.
Algeria became independent on 5 July 1962, a date still marked annually as the country's Independence Day.
