Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries on earth, with around 170 million people in an area smaller than England and Wales together, and this design turns that fact into a picture. Hundreds of tiny illustrated figures in red, blue, orange, green and white clothes stand shoulder to shoulder, seen from above, until their crowd takes the shape of the country, from the northern districts down to the Chittagong tail.

It is a map about people rather than borders, which makes it a good fit for a community centre, a classroom, a charity's laptop, a family car or a student's notebook. Up close the figures are individuals; from across a room they are a map. The detail rewards the larger preset sizes.
