Two things set this banner apart from the square-cut one. The bottom corners are rounded, so the sticker has no sharp points to catch or lift, and a pale oval shadow sits across the lower third of the cloth, as if the fabric were bowing out slightly. It is a calm, practical shape.
Colour is the same as every Benin flag: a green band on the left, then yellow above red on the right. Green is often read as hope, red as courage and yellow as the wealth of the savannah in the north, where Pendjari National Park shelters lions, elephants and hippos in the country's far north-west.
Printed in full colour and finished glossy, the sticker keeps a thin white edge that follows the rounded outline and the gold rod. With no points or tails it is a sensible choice for rougher use, such as a bike frame, a helmet or a toolbox, where a pointed corner would be the first part to peel. Two identical stickers are included.
