Bhutan Seated Buddha Stickers (2-Pack) – Stepped Throne Silhouette images
Every other design in the Bhutan architecture set is a building; this is the one with a figure in it. A seated Buddha fills the upper half of the sticker, drawn as a frontal silhouette with a raised topknot, long earlobes, broad shoulders and hands resting in the lap, and a layered cushion beneath. There is no facial detail, so the shape does the work.
Below the figure the throne steps out in wide blocks, getting wider toward the base, which gives the sticker a stable, pyramid-like outline. The whole silhouette is one dark indigo colour with a white border cut round it, so it reads clearly on pale surfaces and still has a defined edge on dark ones.
Buddhism is central to Bhutan, and figures like this sit in the country's temples and shrines. As a sticker it suits a meditation corner, a yoga mat bag, a laptop lid, a journal cover or a camper window. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl. Two identical stickers per pack.
