Aikido Kanji Stickers – 合気道 Dojo & Martial Arts Decals (2-Pack)

SKU: 17-003123

The three characters 合気道 — ai, ki, do — cut as a single vertical column in brushstroke script, supplied as a matched pair. Reads cleanly from a distance, which is what makes it work on a dojo wall or a car rear window.

合気道 breaks into three characters: 合 (ai, to join or harmonise), 気 (ki, spirit or energy) and 道 (do, the way). Morihei Ueshiba settled on that name in the 1940s for the art he had built out of Daitō-ryū aiki-jūjutsu — a discipline organised around blending with an attack and redirecting it rather than opposing it. The name is the philosophy, which is why it is the kanji Aikidoka display rather than a club crest.

Cut as one column

The characters here are set vertically in a brushstroke face, with the sweeping diagonal of 道 running under the whole column the way it would in hand-inked calligraphy. Because it is cut from a single colour with no background, the wall or glass behind it becomes the paper.

What You Get

  • 2 die-cut vinyl decals per pack
  • 10–55cm / 4–21in, custom sizes to 120cm
  • 19 colour options
  • Applied with transfer tape
  • Removes cleanly without residue

The kanji reads the same across Aikikai, Yoshinkan, Tomiki and Ki Society lines, so it suits a mixed dojo where a style-specific badge would not. Common placements are the dojo wall or mirror, the flap of a kit bag, a car rear window, and the lid of a laptop.
