Alviero Martini is an Italian fashion designer whose eponymous house introduced its signature antique-cartography print under the 1a Classe line (Italian for first class) in the mid-1980s – a beige canvas printed with old-world map detailing that became the label's most recognisable feature across bags, luggage and accessories.
The wordmark
This sticker reproduces the text lockup alone, without the map print itself, in the same tall, narrow lettering used on Alviero Martini's own labelling.
Die-cut, 19 colours, 10–55cm / 4–21in, applied with transfer tape to a laptop lid, suitcase or car window.
The tall, narrow letterforms used in the wordmark echo the same styling found on Alviero Martini's map-print luggage tags and garment labels, keeping the sticker visually consistent with the label's own pieces even without reproducing the map print itself.
Because the wordmark alone omits Alviero Martini's signature map print, it works as a subtler nod to the label on a car window or laptop lid than the full cartography pattern would.
