There is nothing on this sticker except a name, and that is the point. 'Big Jim' Shively is spelled out in a monospaced typeface in which every character takes the same width, so the capitals and the quote marks sit in an even, typewriter-like rhythm.
The nickname is wrapped in single quotation marks, the way it would be printed on a poster, a record sleeve or a pass: first name in quotes, surname outside. Each letter has a rounded corner, a small shape detail that stops the lettering from looking like a plain system font.
Because it is text only, it cuts cleanly and is easy to line up along a flat strip. It suits a guitar case, an amplifier, a laptop lid, a car bumper or a poster tube, and the second copy is handy for the other side of a case or the back of a van.
