Adio Footwear arrived in 1998, set up by skater Chris Miller, and spent the next decade as one of the shoes you actually saw under people at the park rather than only in magazine adverts. The team carried a lot of the weight — Bam Margera and Kenny Anderson among the names most associated with it — and the shoes turned up in the video parts that defined skating either side of the millennium.
The mark drawn here is the complete lockup: a swooping curved stroke, thick at one end and tapering to a point, sitting above ADIO set in squared-off angular capitals with the corners cut back. Two other treatments exist in this range — a wordmark on its own and an ornate script version — but this is the one most people picture.

Cut vinyl leaves no background, so the deck grip, the door paint or the laptop lid shows through around and inside the letters. That makes it a good match for a griptape job, where a printed sticker with a white edge would look bolted on. Deck undersides, helmet shells, bedroom doors, ramp uprights and toolboxes all take it well. The rest of the skate designs sit under sports and outdoors.
