Aerospoke made its name with moulded five-spoke composite wheels — the ones that turned up under fixed-gear and track bikes and stayed there because they are close to indestructible. The wordmark matches the product: wide, flat-sided letters with almost no curve to them, built to be read across a rim at speed.

The proportions are the point. This is a long, low wordmark, so it wants a long, low surface. On a wheel it follows the rim; on a frame it runs the length of a down tube; off the bike it stretches nicely across a bike box, a track case or the top of a workbench.

Supplied as a pair of die-cut vinyl stickers with no background, in any width from 10–55cm / 4–21in. Nineteen colours are available, so you can go white on a black rim, black on a polished one, or pick something that matches the bar tape.

Transfer tape holds the letters in register while you fit them. On a curved rim, work from the centre of the word outwards in short sections rather than trying to lay the whole run down at once, and warm the vinyl slightly if the curve is tight.
