Where the script version of Bang Tidy is all loops and keylines, this one shouts. BANG TIDY! is set in heavy, tightly packed block capitals, the letters almost touching, with a small five-point star cut out of the A and a thick exclamation mark to finish. It is a solid, single-colour shape with no outline, which makes it the easier of the two to apply and the one that reads furthest away.
'Bang tidy' is British slang for something that looks very good, popularised by Keith Lemon, and it has become a stock rear-window verdict on a freshly cleaned, lowered or re-wheeled car. The block lettering suits the back of a van, a boot lid, a rear quarter window, a toolbox or the lid of a laptop.
