The ponytail silhouette is the original 1959 Barbie: hair pulled up into a high ponytail with a curled end, a short curled fringe, arched brows and a long neck, all reduced to a single solid profile facing left. Beneath it sits the Barbie script logo in its slanted, looping form, and the two parts are cut together as one piece of vinyl.
It has become the shorthand for Barbiecore, the all-pink look that spread from fashion to cars and bedrooms around the 2023 film, and it suits a wardrobe door, a dressing-table mirror, a laptop lid, a car's rear window, a roller-skate case or a phone. The two copies in the pack can face the same way on two surfaces or sit side by side as on the cover image.
Pink is the obvious choice, and white on dark glass or black on a pale wall both read well; there are 19 colours. The ponytail curl and the script are the parts to peel the transfer tape back from slowly.
