Garden-bird silhouettes work best where there is already a ledge to suggest a perch: the top of a window frame, a door lintel, a shelf edge or the rim of a picture. These two carry their own perch in the artwork, so the twig under each bird gives you a flat base to line up against a level edge.

The shape is a round, short-necked songbird with a stubby bill and a slim tail angled upward, the proportions of a tit or chickadee. Curled claws hold the twig, and the whole bird is one unbroken block of vinyl with no inner detail, so it reads cleanly from across a room.

One bird faces right and the other faces left. That lets you place them on opposite sides of a window or either side of a mirror and have them look inward. Small, they suit a nursery wall or a kitchen window; scaled up, they hold their own on a van panel or a shop door.
