Anglers who chase black drum know the shape before they see the fish: a high, humped back, a stout body, a spiny front dorsal fin that stands up like a comb, and a row of short whisker-like barbels under the lower jaw. This silhouette includes all of them, along with a small white eye and a broad fan tail.
The barbels are the detail that sets a drum apart from a redfish or a snapper, and they are drawn as tiny teeth under the chin that show clearly at the larger sizes. The fins are simple, solid shapes, so the sticker is easy to cut and to apply.
The two fish swim in opposite directions: the upper one faces left and the lower one faces right. Put one on each side of a boat console or a hull, on a cooler, a tackle box, a truck window or a kayak, and they will both be heading toward the bow. Plain black is the traditional choice, but you can use any of the 19 colours.
