The Beatles album Abbey Road came out in 1969, and its cover shows the four members walking in single file over a zebra crossing outside the recording studios in St John's Wood, London. It became one of the most copied photographs in pop, and this sticker reduces it to flat silhouettes.
Four figures stride in profile, and each stripe of the crossing is cut as a long slanting band that runs from the feet toward the foreground. The figures are solid, with no faces or clothing detail, so the outline of hair, shoulders and stride does the talking.
The pair of stickers makes a strong row on a wall, a guitar case, a camper or a record shelf. Because the stripes run wide, the design is much broader than it is tall, and a 40cm width suits a headboard or a hallway. At 15cm it still reads clearly on a laptop lid or an amp.
