This is the E46 Compact, not the coupe, and the silhouette makes the difference clear: the roofline runs back and drops almost straight down to a short hatch, with the rear light set upright at the very end and no boot behind it. BMW built the Compact from 2001 to 2004 as the small, cheap way into the 3 Series.

Up front, the headlamp cluster is drawn with the paired lenses typical of the E46 face, and the nose carries only a small overhang. The tyres are drawn tight to the arches, which gives the car a squat, planted look without any inner detail.

The pair is mirrored so the little hatch faces forward on both sides of a vehicle. It suits the rear quarter glass, a toolbox lid or a workshop wall, and the heavy black body stays readable at the smallest preset.
