Bavarian Autosport grew from a New Hampshire parts counter in 1974 into the catalogue that generations of BMW owners kept in the glovebox, and its logo has been written two ways: stacked on two lines with the boxed icon, and as this single long line, BAVARIAN autosports in heavy rounded type with a square bullet at the front. The single-line mark is the one that went on the sun strips and sills of customers' cars.
The strip is cut as one piece of vinyl with the square and both words on one sheet of transfer tape. At 55cm it runs most of the way across a rear window as a sun strip or along a sill; at 30cm it suits a boot lid or a bumper; custom sizes to 120cm cover a windscreen band or a van. At the 10cm preset the type is about 1cm tall, a strip for a toolbox or a laptop edge.
Two identical stickers come in each pack. Nineteen colours are available; white on tinted glass is the classic sun-strip look, black on a white or silver BMW, and a colour to match the calipers if the car is already dressed. The two-line version is listed separately.
