Al Merrick founded Channel Islands Surfboards in Santa Barbara, California in 1969, and Channel Islands went on to shape boards for Kelly Slater across all eleven of his World Surf League Championship titles, along with Tom Curren, Dane Reynolds and other leading professional surfers. This "High 5" icon — a raised hand with the number worked into the palm — is a compact graphic mark from the range, distinct from the wordmark and honeycomb-icon logos used elsewhere.
The single-colour die-cut format means it can be ordered to match a board bag, van or gear colour rather than fixed to any one palette.
Its playful tone sets it apart from Channel Islands' more serious wordmark and hexagon-icon marks in this range.
Fits perfectly on board bags, travel cases, laptops and vans.
