Al Merrick founded Channel Islands Surfboards in Santa Barbara, California in 1969, building it into one of the world's most respected performance surfboard makers, ridden by 11-time world champion Kelly Slater for much of his career alongside Tom Curren, Andy Irons and Dane Reynolds. This listing carries Channel Islands' three-hexagon cluster icon in outline form only — an unfilled line mark rather than the solid black version used elsewhere — and without the "Channel Islands" wordmark carried on the full-lockup listing.
The lighter outline treatment suits a surface where a solid black shape would sit too heavily, such as a pale board deck or a light-coloured van panel.
Fits perfectly on surfboards, board bags, vans and surf accessories.
