This is an owl drawn with one clever swap. Instead of feathers, the body is a large leaf set at a slant, with a bold central rib and short side veins cut as pale slashes along it. The result looks as much like a leaf with eyes as like a bird.

The head is a solid, flat-topped cap with a small pointed beak between two ring eyes, each a pale circle with a black pupil. A tiny hook at the shoulder shows where the leaf stem curls back, and three little dashes at the base stand for claws.

It fits themes that lean on the outdoors and the natural world: gardening, a greenhouse or potting-shed window, an eco-friendly shop sign, a recycling bin, a forest-school classroom or a laptop that goes to the park. The shape is open and light, so it is easy to place without overpowering a small space.
