This design renders Albania's red field and black double-headed eagle on a faceted, gem-like octagon rather than a flat rectangle or pennant — the cut angles catching light the way a jewel would, a more decorative treatment than the plain flag shapes elsewhere in this range. The eagle itself descends from Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg's 15th-century banner, and the flag was adopted with the declaration of independence in Vlorë on 28 November 1912.
The Albanian diaspora is large relative to the country's population, with sizeable communities across Italy, Greece, Germany, the UK and the US, part of the steady demand for decorative heritage designs like this one.
Fits perfectly on cars, laptops, water bottles and travel gear.
