This banner keeps the flag rectangular, unlike the triangular pennant cuts elsewhere in this range, but breaks the bottom edge into a repeating zigzag — a decorative treatment sometimes called a swallowtail or crenellated cut, common on ceremonial and parade-style banners.
The flag underneath the shape
Andorra's flag carries a coat of arms found on very few national flags in Europe — four quarters representing the co-principality's dual heritage: a bishop's mitre and crozier for the Diocese of Urgell, oxen for the County of Foix, red-and-yellow stripes for Catalonia, and cows for the Viscounty of Béarn, under the motto Virtus Unita Fortior.
