Angola's flag dates to independence from Portugal on 11 November 1975, led by the MPLA. The red band represents the blood shed in the liberation struggle, black stands for the African continent, and the gold emblem — a half-cogwheel, a machete and a star — draws directly on the revolutionary iconography the MPLA aligned itself with at the time, echoing the hammer-and-sickle imagery of Cuba and the Soviet Union.

The shape

This cut hangs the flag from a slim curved gold rod with the fabric drawn down to a single sharp point at the bottom centre — a classic pennant taper rather than a plain rectangle.

Printed full colour, 2 stickers per pack, sized 5–50cm or 2–20in. Peel-and-stick, no transfer tape needed — apply to a clean, dry surface.

Rod-hung pennant designs like this one are meant to evoke a physical flag on display, which is why the fabric-fold shading matters more here than on a flat rectangular cut.

Suits a wall display, travel journal or pennant-themed sticker collection.

What You Get

  • 2 full-colour printed vinyl stickers
  • Preset sizes 5–50cm or 2–20in, custom sizes up to 120cm
