Angola celebrates Independence Day every 11 November, the anniversary of its break from Portuguese rule in 1975, and a festive banner like this suits the occasion. It hangs from a thin gold rod with arrowhead tips, and two tall notches are cut up into the black lower band so the hem ends in three long, sharp points.

The red and black fall in soft folds, and the gold half-cogwheel, machete and star sit across the line between them. Compared with the five-point sawtooth banner in this range, the points here are fewer and much deeper, more like a medieval standard.

Both stickers are printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the points and rod. Line the rod up level, peel the backing and press each one down from the top, smoothing each point last.
