Crossed flags are an old trade-badge convention, a sign of origin that dates back to shipping labels and exhibition medals, and this one brings it to Bangladesh: two green-and-red flags on black poles cross in an X, three small stars sit above the crossing point, and MADE IN BANGLADESH curves beneath in widely spaced capitals, with a dot at either end of the arc.
Bangladesh adopted its flag on 17 January 1972, after the Liberation War, and the garment, jute and leather industries that grew in the decades since carry the words Made in Bangladesh around the world. This is the badge for a product box, a craft seller's packaging, a market stall, a laptop or a suitcase.
Compared with the other four quality labels in this range, this is the only one with crossed flags and the only one shaped like a heraldic badge. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the flags and arc with a narrow white border. Two identical stickers per pack.
