Want the Belgian flag to look framed? This plaque does it. A landscape rectangle with a broad gold frame, a darker bronze border just inside, and then the flag: black on the left, a warm gold-yellow in the centre, red on the right. The top-right corner is cut with a smooth curve, as if the frame were catching the wind, which breaks the otherwise straight outline.

The gold has a polished sheen that brightens along the top and the right edge. The frame is thick, so at small sizes the flag shrinks to roughly two thirds of the sticker, and the design looks best from 8cm upwards. As the flag sits behind the frame and gets a gentle shadow, it looks recessed.

It belongs to the gold and bronze set in this range, along with an oval, a round button and a shield. The landscape shape is the one that sits best along a straight edge such as a number plate surround, a bumper, a window sill or a laptop.
