This is the format that suits a flat rectangular space — a sponsor board on a race car door, the airbox cover on a track bike, a pit-lane toolbox lid, a numberplate surround. The square proportion means it fits where a long bar logo would run out of room, and the heavy black keyline around the panel gives it a defined edge on light-coloured bodywork.
Eni is the parent company that Agip belongs to — Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi, set up in 1953 under Enrico Mattei. The six-legged dog carried over from Agip and remains the group emblem, which is why it sits above the Eni name here rather than the Agip one.
