Benoist is the surname of Thomas Benoist, the St. Louis aircraft builder whose company produced some of the earliest American flying boats and ran the first scheduled passenger airline service in 1914. This sticker uses only the name, which makes it a quiet reference for aviation-history readers.
The lettering is a chunky, slightly rough slab serif, with each letter joined into the arrow shaft so the name and the arrow are cut as a single piece. One copy points to the right with a barbed head at the right end, while the other flips direction, so you can place them on either side of a vehicle or pair them as a long banner.
Because the arrow is thin and the letters are thick, it stays readable at small widths and looks good along a toolbox, a canoe gunwale, a truck bed rail or a workshop wall.
