Bendix has been a name in braking since the 1920s, and truck and car workshops still use it on parts shelves, toolboxes and sign boards. This sticker is just the word, set in an extra-heavy condensed face where the letters are packed so close they almost join.
The first thing you notice is the weight. The strokes of the B, d and i are very thick, and the counters of the e and n are narrow slits, so the word reads as a dense dark block, readable from a long way off. The x at the end has crossing arms that stretch tall.
Because the lettering is compact and tall, it fits a brake-parts drawer, a tool chest door, a garage wall, a truck mudflap or a rear window. As a die-cut with no background, only the vinyl colour shows, and the pack has two copies, enough for a pair of locations.
