A bear is partway up a tall, thin tree with its arms and legs wrapped round the trunk, one paw out to the side. The tree is a slim vertical, so the sticker is tall and narrow, and the pack has two mirrored scenes.

Black bears are excellent climbers, using their curved claws to haul a heavy body up a trunk, and the sticker shows exactly that moment: the body presses against the wood, a back foot is hooked round the trunk and one forepaw is flung out to a side branch for balance. The head is turned to look at you.

The shape is a tall column. The trunk runs from top to bottom with a broken-off top, short side branches sprout in pairs and the bear is a dark mass half-way up. Fine white cracks run across the bear's fur and the bark. It is a good counterpart to the cub-in-a-tree design, which is wider and rounder.

The vertical format suits narrow places: a door frame, the edge of a window, the side of a bookcase, a fence post or the corner of a cabin wall. The mirror pair lets you put one on each side of a door, with the bears climbing towards each other.
