Brown bears have excellent noses, and they work them constantly while they walk. This silhouette catches that: the head is not hanging low and not thrown up, but carried at the level of the shoulder, with the nostrils working and the ears turned forward to listen.

The outline is solid and slightly more detailed than the plain bears elsewhere in the range, with an ear on top of the skull, a defined line between muzzle and brow, a small gap for the mouth and a wide, thick body on four evenly spaced legs. There is no hump emphasised, so it reads as a general brown bear rather than a grizzly.

Fit it as a pair on opposite sides of a truck, a trailer or a camper, or one above a fireplace and one on the opposite wall. White on a dark cab looks like a bear in the snow, while black on a pale panel is a crisp, classic mark.
