The dancing bears are one of the best-known images in rock. Bob Thomas drew them in 1973 for the Grateful Dead album History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear's Choice), and a line of them marching and strutting has been on Deadhead cars, guitar cases and lunchboxes ever since.
This is the strutting one, in outline. The head is round with two dark ears and a toothy open smile, the neck carries a zigzag ruff, and the body is just a clear outline with a few tufts of fur, so the sticker takes its colour from whatever it is stuck to. One long arm swings out with an oval pad and the other loops out behind, while the legs are mid-stride with one foot lifted.
Two stickers come in the pack, facing opposite ways, so a pair can strut towards each other across a rear window or a bumper. They work on a guitar case, a camper van, a skateboard or a water bottle, and they grow well to 30cm and beyond.
