Which of the painted flags is this? It is the one that frays at both ends. The paint is laid on in long horizontal dry-brush strokes, thick in the middle and breaking into fine bristle lines at the left and the right, so the sticker has no square edge anywhere.
The Union Jack is slightly smudged and offset, as if it were painted in one quick pass, while the Commonwealth Star and the Southern Cross stars sit cleanly in the solid middle band. The finish has a fair amount of white showing through the strokes, which gives it a lighter feel than the heavier painted versions.
It looks right on a laptop, a notebook, a surfboard bag or a car's side window. The pack holds two. Use a card to smooth each down, working from the centre out to each frayed end.
