Austria's coat of arms was adopted for the new republic in 1919, and the broken chains were added in 1945 to mark the country's liberation. This sticker shows the full emblem: a black single-headed eagle with its wings spread wide and the red-white-red shield on its breast.
Each detail stands for part of society. The gold mural crown, shaped like a city wall, represents the townspeople; the sickle in one claw stands for farmers and the hammer in the other for workers. The broken iron chains hang from both feet, and the beak and tongue are picked out in gold and red.
Both stickers are printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the eagle with a white border. They suit a car window, a laptop, a study wall or a ski helmet. Peel the backing and press each one down from the shield outwards.
