The Bahamas raised this flag on 10 July 1973, the day the islands became independent, and it has flown over Nassau ever since. Its aquamarine bands stand for the sea, the gold band for the sun and sandy beaches, and the black triangle for the strength and unity of the people.

This sticker shows the flag waving from a short silver pole with a ball top and a flat round base, like a desk flag in an office or embassy. It suits a suitcase, a laptop, a travel journal, a boat or a car window, as a holiday keepsake or a sign of Bahamian roots.
