A straightforward, flat rectangular print of the national flag — red field, black band with a rising golden sun, and blue-over-white stripes forming the V-shape at the base — with no fabric texture or waving effect added, just the flag design itself.
Adopted on 27 February 1967 when the islands gained self-governing status linked to Britain, the design came from a public competition of over 600 entries, won by local artist Sir Reginald Samuel; it was kept unchanged when Antigua and Barbuda became fully independent on 1 November 1981. The red stands for the people's energy, the black band and soil for African heritage, blue for the sea and white for the beaches, and the V-shape itself simply stands for victory. No hand, no fold, no badge border - just the flag as designed.
