Kensington Oval on a Test match day, the Crop Over parade in August, the finish line of the Run Barbados marathon: this is the sticker for the supporter in the crowd. A cartoon hand in a rolled-up blue sleeve grips a grey stick and holds a small Barbados flag straight up, the ultramarine and gold cloth with its black broken trident rippling to the right.
The upright, proud pose is the difference between this design and the tilted hand-held flag elsewhere in this range, which is caught mid-wave. This one is calm and vertical, which suits a phone case, the corner of a laptop lid, a rear quarter window or the flap of a school bag.
Barbados's flag dates from independence on 30 November 1966; the broken trident marks the break with colonial rule and the three prongs the principles of government of, for and by the people. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the hand, stick and flag with a narrow white border. Two identical stickers per pack.
