Surfers, cricket fans and anyone with a Bajan grandmother put this on a board, a kit bag, a laptop or the back window of the car: the flag of Barbados painted as one rough brush stroke, the ultramarine blue of the sea and sky either side of the gold of the sand, the black broken trident in the middle, and the paint thinning and spattering at the ragged edges as if it had just been dragged across a wall.
The trident is the detail that matters. It is deliberately broken off at the shaft, a sign of the island's break with its colonial past when it became independent on 30 November 1966, and its three prongs stand for the three principles of government of, for and by the people. The flag was designed by Grantley Prescod, an art teacher, in a national competition.
Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the brush edges with a narrow white border, so the splatter stays part of the design. Two identical stickers per pack.
