The wear is printed, not real. Every fleck and scratch is part of the artwork, which means it looks the same on day one as it does on a restored panel — and unlike genuinely aged vinyl, it will not keep degrading.
Why it suits some builds and not others
On a patina build, a rat bike, a well-used trail machine or a workshop toolbox this reads as it should. On fresh paint it can look like a mistake, because the eye reads a clean panel with a worn badge on it as damage rather than as style. The flat tricolore version in this range is the one for a new build.
The speckle is heaviest across the white centre of the dome, which is where the eye lands first, and lightest over the black visor band so the agv wordmark stays readable at small sizes.
