Two things separate this from the other distressed badge: the band under the tricolore is a deep blue-violet rather than black, and the dome is cut with a flatter top and squarer shoulders, closer to an open-face profile than a full-face one.
What the blue band is for
Black bands vanish on black bodywork. This one does not — against a black tank or a dark helmet shell the blue stays visible as a separate element, so the badge keeps its full height instead of appearing to be just the coloured dome. On a light panel the difference is smaller, and the black-band version is the more conventional look.
The distressed speckle runs across the whole badge, heaviest over the white and red of the dome. As with the other distressed design, the wear is printed into the artwork rather than being real damage.
