Baranduin is the Sindarin name of the river the hobbits call the Brandywine, the eastern border of the Shire in Tolkien's Middle-earth, and the name has been borrowed by bands, boats and gaming guilds ever since. This decal sets it in a Celtic uncial-style typeface: tall capitals with pointed, tapering strokes, an A and N with long sweeping legs, a D with a curved back and a U that narrows to points, so the word looks lifted from an illuminated manuscript.
It suits the kind of surfaces where fantasy lettering belongs: a laptop lid, a bookshelf end, a games-room door, a hiking flask, a kayak hull or the bow of a narrowboat called Brandywine. Folk-metal and medieval-music fans use it on instrument cases and festival gear for the same reason.
Cut from one colour of vinyl with no background. The tapering points are the detail to peel carefully; the rest is sturdy. Choose from 19 colours; gold or a deep green suit the manuscript feel.
