Two identical strips, each one piece of cut vinyl about five times wider than it is tall. The letters are heavy enough to survive the 10cm preset, where the word is roughly 2cm high and suits a phone or a guitar headstock; 20cm is the laptop and case size, and custom cuts up to 120cm run along a van or a rehearsal-room wall.
The lettering has the look of a woodcut or a rubber stamp: capitals with squared-off strokes that are not quite the same weight, a B that leans back, an S that leans forward, and the whole word bent along a gentle arch so it reads like the top line of a badge or a crest. There is no box or underline, just the word.
Bastions is a band name, and this is the logo as it appears on their merch, but the lettering stands on its own as a word. It goes on guitar cases, cabs, pedalboards, laptop lids, skateboards and the back window of a touring van. Nineteen colours are available; black on light surfaces and white on dark cases are the usual choices.
