Stegosaurus lived in the Late Jurassic, roughly 150 million years ago, and its remains come mostly from the Morrison Formation across the western United States. It was a plant eater around nine metres long that carried two staggered rows of tall, kite-shaped plates along its spine and four long spikes at the end of its tail — a defensive arrangement that palaeontologists nicknamed the thagomizer, after a cartoon, and then kept using in earnest.

Both of those features are what a silhouette needs to be readable, and both survive the cartoon treatment here. The plate row steps up over the shoulders and back down towards the hips, the head is held low and small relative to the body, and the tail tapers away into its spikes. Even at 10cm across nobody is going to mistake it for any other dinosaur.

Forest green and brown read most naturally, though the plates show up sharply in any of the brighter colours. More prehistoric and animal designs are under wildlife stickers.
