Where the outline versions of this wordmark need size to work, this one does not. Every letter is a solid shape, so there are no thin strokes to lose and nothing fragile to weed — it stays legible right down to the 10cm end of the range, which makes it the sensible choice for a wing mirror, an intake pipe, a laptop lid or the corner of a side window.
The letterforms are narrower and more upright than the heavy italic cut sold alongside it, so the same width of sticker gives you taller-looking letters. Between the two it is worth thinking about the space you are filling: a tall narrow gap suits this one, a long low gap suits the italic.
AEM builds engine-management and induction hardware out of southern California — ECUs, wideband gauges, methanol injection and intake kits — and the wordmark has been on tuner cars for the better part of three decades.
Two die-cut vinyl stickers per pack, any width from 10–55cm / 4–21in, 19 colours, transfer tape included. There is no background: the letters are cut from a single coloured sheet, so the surface underneath shows between them.
