BAPE STA Shooting Star Stickers (2-Pack) – Star With Lightning Tail images
The BAPE STA arrived in 2000 as A Bathing Ape's take on a classic basketball shoe, and the mark on its side was this: a five-point star with a jagged lightning-bolt tail streaking off to the upper right, as if the star were shooting across the leather. It became the label's second logo after the ape head, and it has been printed on tees, hoodies and shop windows ever since.
The star is cut as a single solid shape with no background, which is exactly how it sits on the shoe, and the two copies in the pack can be used as a pair on a sneaker box, a display shelf, a laptop lid or a car's rear window, or one each on a helmet and a skateboard. Its diagonal shape fills a corner nicely.
Because the design is a plain silhouette it takes bright colours well; patent-style red, yellow or sky blue match the classic BAPE STA colourways, and black or white work anywhere. Choose from 19 vinyl colours.
