This is the BASF logo, not a Bavarian Autosport mark, whatever the old listing said; the artwork is the chemical company's two squares and four letters, and it is the same cut that appears elsewhere in this range. This copy is written for the car: as a sponsor strip on a race replica or a touring-car-style build, on a sill, a rear bumper, a boot lid or beside a door handle, where a run of period logos is the point.
BASF, from Ludwigshafen on the Rhine and founded in 1865, has a long history on motorsport bodywork and in car paint, and the two-squares mark it has used since 2004 sits comfortably in a line of sponsor decals. Each sticker is one piece of vinyl with the squares and the letters joined on a single sheet of transfer tape, so the spacing stays exactly as drawn.
Two identical strips come in each pack. At the 10cm preset the letters are about 2cm tall, right for a model or a toolbox; 30cm suits a door; 55cm runs along a sill, and custom sizes to 120cm are cut for a van. Nineteen colours are available; white on dark paint, black or dark green on white.
