This one is cut for a surface you look at from the side. Because the artwork already contains its own perspective — the left edge is drawn taller than the right, so the panel appears to angle away — it corrects itself when it is viewed off-axis rather than head-on. That makes it a better choice than a plain rectangle for a car door, a van flank, the side of a toolbox, a wing panel or anywhere else the viewer is rarely square in front of it.

Placed the other way round the effect reverses and the exaggeration doubles up, so it is worth deciding which side people will approach from before peeling the backing.

The flag carries the three horizontal bands — celeste, white, celeste — with the Sol de Mayo centred in the white. That sun has thirty-two rays, alternating sixteen straight with sixteen wavy, and a human face taken from Inti, the Inca sun god. It marks the May Revolution of 1810 and was added in 1818 to the flag Manuel Belgrano had created six years earlier.
